Issues that could be stomach cancer

If you have the stomach flu, there are a few common symptoms that you’ll usually notice. You might have a fever, stomach cramps, nausea, and vomiting. However, some of these symptoms could mean that you need to visit a doctor in New York, especially if you have them for an extended period of time. While you could still have the stomach flu, these symptoms could be an indication of stomach cancer.

Weight loss

One of the first signs of stomach cancer that is sometimes overlooked and that could lead to a medical malpractice claim is weight loss. A stomach flu can cause weight loss if you’re unable to eat or drink as you normally would. However, if you don’t have an appetite and you begin rapidly losing weight without trying or without other symptoms, then it could be a sign that something else is wrong.

Fatigue

When there is blood loss in your body or your body is fighting against something that’s foreign, then you could feel fatigued. This is often a common sign of stomach cancer that could be associated with a stomach flu. Your blood levels should be checked to determine if you’re anemic and to see where your red and white blood cell counts are at as low levels could be a sign that other tests need to be performed.

Blood showing

If you see blood in your stool or blood in your vomit, then it could be a sign of cancer. This is a sign that’s less common, but it could mean that any cancer that is present has spread or is severe.

If you’ve seen a doctor who hasn’t performed the proper tests for stomach cancer, an attorney can help you file a claim if it’s determined that you do have the disease instead of a flu or another common illness.
